AONB Project

Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB

Currently farmers are being paid a pence for their fleece, it costs 1.20 to shear each sheep, shearing is an animal welfare issue and has to be done. Which means that farmers are incurring a loss to sheer. The project with AONB is about exploring the wider use of locally produced fleece. Examples of this could be, mud matts in gateways, tree wraps, felt matting for horticulture, outdoor piping insulation, and even cat houses!
